Recently Oakson worked on a project in Wellfleet, MA to facilitate a wastewater system upgrade that would fit in with the natural curves and irregularities of the land without creating a visual impact. The team worked in the irregular space to install the Perc-Rite® Drip Dispersal system and successfully created a long-term wastewater solution that would not visually or environmentally impact the area.
The Problem
The Wellfleet site is wooded with a steep slope adjacent to wetlands. The area surrounding the proposed system was already well landscaped and developed leaving an irregular area available for a wastewater system. A conventional system would not have fit in with the location requiring a massive, expensive retaining wall.
The Solution
To fit in with the land specifications Oakson worked alongside the site contractor to install the Perc-Rite® System down the slope, following the natural contour of the land. The Perc-Rite® Drip Dispersal system is a non-invasive, flexible, and environmentally sensitive means of wastewater disposal, providing equal distribution across hundreds of application points throughout the dispersal field.
The Result
The result was a wastewater disposal system that conformed to the existing conditions of the land while maintaining all aesthetic attributes and use.
